My LiPos get warm, not at all hot, and stay that way for a fairly long time (longer than 15m).
What's the best practice regarding waiting before recharge?
I'm thinking that waiting 15m should be fine, even if there's a little residual warmth.
Any other opinions?
Thanks
Jim

I forgot to mention that the batteries in question are FP Evolite 3S 2500mAh.
And, with nothing at all to compare them to, I really like them, am getting safe 8m low-stress hovers on my 450 se v2 w/ stock stuff & training gear.

I use an Infra red thermometer and charge them when they get to body temp(98*f)
work fine no issues.

Depends on the charger too....CellPro claims that their chargers can charge a battery immediately after use.

even so, i let mine chill for about 15 min, usually it gets to about body temp. not hot, but just warm to the touch. never one problem

Happy times: I'm driving a CellPro. I'll give them their 15min and let fly.
Thanks,
Jim

That's what we do as well, 200 + flights on 3 4900's.
