Just finished building my new Stratus kit from MA. This was a quick and easy build even thou it is like nothing I have ever seen before. Check one out and you will immediately see what I am talking about. This is a truely new design as it is lighter and stiffer with a CG higher into the heli with the fuel tank near the center.
I am known as a slow and smooth flier but this heli has changed even my style to a smooth and faster style. This thing is smooth and fast and tracks very well. The kits are not available but the conversion is ready to ship and in my honest oppinion it is well worth the conversion. I enjoyed flying my new heli more than anything elseI have ever flown , in fact I ordered a conversion for my Tempest today.
If you are converting from an extreme or a Tempest you need to know the gear ratio ( 8.18 or 8.45 ) and the tank style ( muffler pressure or crank case ). You must also know what motor you will be running Ex. OS 91 C-spec or 91 c-spec PS or even the ys. If you are converting from an Extreme you will need the big bearing block that goes between the clutch and the driver which is used on the Tempest.
If you think your heli flies great and you are completely happy DO NOT FLY A STRATUS as you will soon find yourself converting. The Stratus is not for everyone but I have not met anyone who could resit yet........... well I guess you can see I really like this kit..........Good Job Tim and the Gang Down @ MA.

A quick note..........the conversion comes with a CD that has all the instructions and pictures..............nice.

My complete setup is as follows:
Ma Stratus
OS 91 c-spec w/ OMI modified carb ( Big Bore )
OMI Viper Head @ 16 thou on the shims
601 gyro
9252' servos
Duralite 4000mh flat pack , 5.3v HD sw regulator
710 V Blades (182g) 105 V Tailblades
Canopy from Ricko's
GV1 w/ optical sensor
149 RX with revolution antenna
Hatori SB17
Coolpower 30%

You bethca, Wayne - Zak and I are looking forward to flying with you and Mikey also. How's that hotshot boy of yours? He's got the talent - just like his dad! Get that Extreme converted to a Stratus with the options Clint mentioned and you'll have that "perma-grin" on your face also. :D

What have you done to the kit to make changing the second glowplug easier. It looks like it is going to be a real pain in the arce to change it. The instructions are top rate thats for sure! And it being on a cd-rom is a bonus. The links went on like butter! One thing that I dont like is having to use servo extensions for the elevator and rudder servo.
