The instructions show 45mm between the two links, but the threads stop at 49mm. Anyone know what the "right" starting place here is?

TIA,
John

I think this is ok John. The link ends have a small recess cup before it starts to actually thread. I'm not able to look at mine but I think I remember this to be true.

EDIT** I just reread and you have a v-bar head and I don't. hmmmmm........

I still think it will work.

I use the 65mm rods, 1/2 a thread shows at each end.

OK, cranked 'em in, and no sign of bulging or whitening of the plastic. THANKS Jeremy!

Two further irritants in the instructions:

1) There's no indication of whether it's the brass or plastic spacers that go in the two parts of the feathering shaft. I put the brass between the bearings, which I think is right, but it's irritating that they aren't clearer...

2) The bolts that screw the links into the grips call for 22mm, when they then include 35mm - 22mm would be WAY to short.

Ah well. Head built!

John
