Hi, I just bought a new AR 7000 and can't get it to bind. As soon as you put power into it the amber lights flicker and don't stay on or even blink. As I remove power they flicker again. I measured approx 5.2 volts on the pos and neg pins on the receiver. Anyone seen this? I will be calling my LHS in the morning to see if they will exchange it. This is not my first AR 7000. I have two others that work fine.

Keep it in the AIR.

Its possible the radio is too close to the rx when you are trying to bind to it.
Thats the only scenario I have seen where the radio doesnt bind.

Allow about 3 or 4 feet between the tx and rx when binding.

Quite possibly a bad Rx. Call Horizon. They will have you send it back and they will give you a new one.

are you using 2 wire or 3 wire battery, where are you putting bind plug, if 2 wire battery put bind plug in batt in and battery in open servo spot.

Darrin says:

they look normal they move as I think they should
rudd def corrent elev correct not pos bout other servos
jeunque says:
Have you bound the RX?
binding plug, etc.
Darrin says:
what does that mean exactly
what is the binding plug?
jeunque says:
You have to put the binding plug that came with the TX/RX in the RX and power up. Then turn on the TX until all the blinking stops.
Then power down and remove the binding plug.
Darrin says:
ahh hope I kept that in the box
jeunque says:
The binding plug looks like a sevo plug. with the signal pin bridged to the ground.
You'd usually plug it in the battery slot on the RX since the power will come from the ESC.
Darrin says:
man I know what you are talking about, I have no ideal what I did with that thing
jeunque says:
Do you have a servo extension around anywhere?
Darrin says:
yeah got some of those
