Ive been flying my lama v for about 5 months. Ive decided to upgrade to a new heli i have been looking at the trex 600e and the hurricane 550. Which heli would be best or would something els be better.

Are you saying lama V, a coaxial heli? with double main blade? if that is the case, then I think, switching to a big heli such as the Trex 600 or Hurricane 550 is a too biog step, unless you have enough experience with a CCP heli or at least a FP heli.
But anyway, that is only my opinion. Because some people say that the bigger the heli the more stable it is and easyer to fly.
I would say, try a FP heli or a CCP

for the price and quality go for the h550. imho it's the best darn "mid-size" heli there is. plus if you don't already have a 6 cell lipo charger you don't need to buy one as it takes two 3s1p packs. check out www.readyheli.com (http://www.readyheli.com), they've got killer deals on it and the parts, they stock them all.

no my charger and balancer only go up to 5 cells. would a 5 cell pack be enough for a trex?. im leaning slightly more to the h550 though. but there is only £30 difference between the two of them.

The 600 seems way to big a step for your first real heil. I would suggest a Trex 450. They are rock solid stable for their size and the parts are affordable. 3 batteries alone for a 600 will be quite costly. A 600 can take your head off, a 450 will just sever a finger.

I have flown a trex 450 and i did not like it it was to twitchy for me. i found my friends rapor90 essayer to control he said it was because it was a bigger heli therefor more stabe. Thanks for the warning though :)

so i take it you could fly the raptor then? if so get what you can afford, and like then. as i have herd, and read a 50 size heli it the bomb right now. i have a 30 size, but the weather has her in the hangar still.
have you decided on electric, or nitro?

just looked at the hurricane 550. i like it. especially the use of 2 11.1 packs. now that's a great idea. that mite be my next heli.

I have decided to go electric. I can do basic circuits with a raptor90 and just about do a nose in hover.

I was gonna go with a t-rex 600 but then I saw the videos from http://www.runryder.net/helicopter/rrTV-Photo/funflies/IRCHA2005/
and went with the hurricain 550. It's cheaper, seems stable and if your not in a hurry to get one check this out. http://www.rc-expert.com/product-package.php?pid=662
I'm getting that in 7 weeks hopefuly.
End of line,
