A friend of mine just purchased a Blade CP and he had a little mishap when he tried to spool it up for the first time. When he turned everything on and put in some throttle input nothing happened. Only the servos were responding. But then all of a sudden the motor started spinning at full throttle with no throttle input and just tore up the gears on the main gear. Now my friend doesnt know if he flipped into idle up mode or not. He is thinking he didn't. But even if he did flip into idle up mode he still had no motor response in the beginning. I have no experience with the Blade CP, Im just making this post for my friend so he can try to figure out what happened. Any help would be appreciated.

Flipped the idle up switch or he turned the heli on first then the transmitter. Tell him to change the receiver to another brand. The esky receivers sometimes are glitch prone.

the same thing happened to my dad. the switch on the top left needs to be down and turn on the remote before plugging in the heli. luckily those gears arent too expensive.

Has nothing to do with the reciever or transmitter....

Its the startup proceedure that was followed..

Turn on Radio (Zero Throttle and Throttle trim all the way down)
Make sure Idle up switch is pointing Backwards (Away from you)
Plug in Heli

Thats the way things go, no other way or your begging for repairs.

have any of you put the belt drive on your blade?
i want to put mine on my radio and get it flying well but i dont know how i would do that with the tail motor because there will be no rudder control if u just plug the rudder into the receiver channel
do i need to put on the belt conversion to put the blade on my radio with my own recieiver?

I power on my heli after I straighten my tracking and servo linkage ....... I suddenly realised that I've forgotten to turn the idle up down..:wow2:. NOTHING happened.! I just hear strange "beep beep beep".. instead of the usual "beep beep"....... I jumped to grab the battery wire and unplugged.:o

Dirty E flight immigrants.... coming over here using our posts..... paid for by our taxes... rant blather moan whinge
I mean its not like Im racist....
Some of my best friends have got blade 400's....
All I'm saying is lets put the needs of our own indiginous population first.

Belts not Blades I say (except for using blade 400 maingears cause they're better than Esky ones)
