Maybe this is the right crowd to ask this question...

I wanna 300mm indoor 3d heli, yeah sure the gf will have a fit and I'll have to be able to patch walls and repair furniture, so what... Oh, yeah, and ceiling fans....

But whats the deal?

I see the Pixi/Zap/Firefox, I see the ultranewandiproved 100sev2proultracarbon, and yet there's not much talk about anything but the 200, which is quite a bit larger.

Is this an evolution of the 100 to the 200? Is the firefox/pixi/100 dead?

I put a firefox 100 chassis on order anyway, but seems like *everything* in the way of parts is out of stock.

POPULAR, or GOING AWAY???

The Gaui 200 is an upgraded EP100 with longer tail boom and longer main blades (200mm vs. 100mm) The 200 is smaller than a 300 class heli like the Blade CPP for instance. You can still get the Firefox and Pixy Zap but there not as good as a EP200. The Gaui 200 is in my opinion the best quality and certainly the best flying submicro on the market.

the 100 is not really seen too much because it doesn't fly all that well, at least for anything more than picking it up and putting it down. Thats why the 200 is better.

Thanks Buzzkill!

But can you really fly the 200 indoors, I mean in a house?

I know I'm asking for too much, but I can dream, can't I...

I'm just thinking a 100 class would be nice when it's windy and have to fly indoors or when I travel and don't have the space to carry a larger machine. GAUI 100 + hotel room / liabiltiy insurance = X ;-)

I mentioned I ordered a Firefox, have'nt seen it yet, but I'll mess around with that while I'm thinking this through. Sorta working from the premise that I may have to tweak it a lot to get it flyable, but damn, I've seen some amazing 100 videos. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm obviously in good company, whatcha think??

Thanks RobL!

I sort guessed that, but gee the vids sure looked great!

Maybe I should go with a 200 class and work into 500 or larger for the big bird. Yeah, this is starting to work for me.

Just wanting to get portable, have a really good 3d slayer when I'm good enough to justify it, and have enough machines around to fly while I'm,,, err, repairing stuff, and get a little variety. ....yeah, cha-ching!!! ;-)

Well, I got the Firefox on the way, so rather than press on with the 100, I'll take you guys advise and look at the 200 while I mess around with the little guy.

Somebody wake up AutumnSummers, we need to chat....
