I received my mini titan from flying-hobby.com. I got the RTF with the futaba 6EX TX. It was well set up. I had watched some of Finless's how to vids but was overwhelmed with all the settings in the TX. I quickly found out I had no idea what I was doing! Then to top it off I ordered the wrong mode for the TX. The throttle was on the right side! Crap! Anyways i eventually figured out how to set the TX up. Tried to fly it with the mode 1 TX. That did not go so well..... I read the manual for the TX and it said you can send the TX in to a Futaba service center to get the mode changed. Well if they can do it maybe I can. I took the back half off and swapped the spring and lever to the other side as well as the friction bar. BAM a mode 2 TX. Tried to test fly it and could immediately hover and after a few trims could hover an entire battery pack! I did start out with the falcon 40 which sucked but helped me learn to hover.

I can't tell you how many times I've ordered the wrong thing.... good to hear that you were able to mod it! and congrats on your hover!

Now that I am flying this heli I am always nervous that it is going to self distruct. Never flown anything but a falcon 40 which has nowhere near that headspeed.

It's a good thing to have some respect, and a being little scared of the heli lol.... but a few more hovers and you'll be used to it :)

LOL I feel ya. My Titan 50 is worse.... them's mighty big blades I tell ya. First time I flipped idle-up I thought the head was going to explode. I don't have a tach yet and I'm still too nrevous to fly in idle up because it "sounds" too fast to me.

I live in Okinawa Japan right now and haven’t seen to many heli's in action until last weekend. A guy brought out a Raptor 50 and I thought it was HUGE. looked like a flying death machine. At least the mini titan is less intimidating to me. I talked to the owner and he said to buy a gas heli. I like the electric because I can fly it in an indoor aircraft hanger at work and baseball fields. I cant wait to take it outside this weekend and hover it around. Curious to see how stable it will be with a little wind.
