I KNOW RAPTORS ARE WELL BUILT AND FLY GREAT BUT THE NEW HELIS THAT ARE COMMING OUT ARE MUCH LIGHTER, IM NOT TOO FOND OF ALIGN DUE TO THE QUALITY OF THERE PARTS, AND AVANT WILL NEVER BRING THERE HELI TO THE MARKET ANY TIME SOON , PLEASE INLIGHTEN ME ON MY NEW HELI.OH AND HOW MANY VERSIONS IF ANY ARE THERE OF THE 90 SE.

ever saw one of the big guys smack the r90 ?

there isnt anything you cant do with the r90.
the money vs fun factor is the highest of all 90 helicopters.

smack it, and smack an fury, and youll know what i mean.

I finaly decided on a Raptor 90 3D about November 2007 when I got the bug to go big a few months prior to that. Why Raptor vs. others? Like you, I have two Raptor 50's and the 90 is not much different as far as setting up and such so I figured it would be easier to build and I'd know what I'm getting into. Yes the Raptor is heavier than other 90s but, from what I've seen / read, The Raptor has less parts so there is a lessor chance for things to go wrong and parts are just as easy to find as for the 50.

Look through these posts for the thread "R90 design flaw" (I think that is the wording). In there I posted a few things I found wrong with my 90 on its first few flights and several people posted what they did to fix these issues. I recomend you read that and at least fix the fuel tank problem while building.

Ya for cost r90 has the basket. Try fixing a fury or n9 for the cost of a r90. Hell a hard crash on an n9 is almost as much as the kit. If you get to be a pro class pilot who has sponsors and can push hard with rare crashes then yes a synergy or fury is a heli for you, but if your last name aint Szabo or Botos the r90 is great. Look at how many top pilots have won with r90s. And for the $ the 90se has full bling where a fury or n9 don't. Oh and can you say parts are there.

It isn't outdated at all. I'm not planning on pancaking it though.

oh i know i am going to take a beating for this

But I just have to post this vid of Colin from last year at ircha
http://www.runryder.com/rrtv.htm?v=/helicopter/rrTV-Photo/funflies/IRCHA2007/rrIRCHA07-Sun-03.wmv

It’s all about setup with any heli when you’re done watching the vid then ask your self is the heli outdated, is it that a skilled pilot makes any heli look good. Well its both and allot of practice.

Colin’s setup then
futaba 9c
Raptor 90se
Ace 1313 servos
Rev max
mp5
Os sz with cline
710 sb radix
105 radix tail
Super stubs 105 paddles
6.0v battery system
Cool power fuel
INFINAVATION dampeners

And the most important part know your setup and burn lots of fuel
all helis have there great side and weak side it doesn’t matter once you settle on a heli in the 90 class you have to learn it, then and only then you will master it strong side and make is shine

Team Thunder Tiger
CY Enterprises
Team Futaba
Flight Power
Morgan fuel
