Hi All

Just joined this site, came recommended.

Into my electric models, 400's and 450's...in fact, bought a new Mars 480 to play with ;) My latest is a barebones Voyager E. Yes, I know this is an older model, but I'm pleased with it (especially as it was REAL cheap). Wanted a slightly bigger model for outside, without going onto the 5s or 6s packs.

Thing is guys, could do with some clues as per motor and batteries. Read a couple of posts saying they use a Himax 2825-3600 and get around 5mins on a 2100 3s lipo. Downloaded the manual, which is brushed motor and 7cell Nicad.

Anyone got any more recommendations?

This looks like a great site! Keep up the good work!

Pete

The most common motors I've come across for the Voyager are the Kontronic Twist37 and the Hacker C40 8L or 10S. I'm not familiar with the Himax you mention but any suitably sized motor with a KV of about 4000 and a 3.17mm shaft should be OK for use on 3s. My Voyager could do over 15mins of smooth flying on a 3s 5000 pack.

Cheers mate, i'll have a look round for them. Got a few more bits to source yet.

Where abouts are you in Gloucestershire, if I may ask?
