At just over $23 for a 2200maH Li-Po from http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6306 , I was just wondering if anyone has used these.

The price is low but does the performance resemble the price?

had mine for over 2 months now with over 80 cycles on them with no problems... balances the 450se with zero problems. the shipping get pricey and it took nearly two weeks to get to me but overall money well spent.

Well that's good news so far.

Thanks for the input.

I figured you get what you pay for but I guess not with these. Two packs for $50 ain't too bad. How much was shipping.

I hope they are better than the old Hextronics. The first set i had were ok and lasted about 50 cycles (Yellow and Blue shrink wrap) before puffing. The replacement batch i got (Purples) were RUBBISH and lasted about 5 cycles before puffing.

To be fair my first batch wasn't flown that hard. The second batch was flown much harder (Still within the 80% rule). Since then i've bought only Airthunders and couldn't be happier.

I am thinking about getting a Hurricane 550 so may look at trying some of the newer range of batteries.

Well so far, the word seems to be pretty good that they all hold up.

I was looking at the 3s 2200maH packs for my T-Rex and a foamie I'll be getting pretty soon

Thanks for all the feedback

I have been using the 3300 3s1p in pairs for my Gaui 550 and have over 25 cycles on them. No signs of puff and power remains the same. My z30 motor can eat a lot of amps 6 min flights and put back 2700 on average. I am trying the 2500 Zippy-R on my Trex 500 but have only a few cycles on them. You may also want to take a look at Outrage XP batteries 25c and good crash policy. Price is pretty close if you work out the shipping from Hong Kong.

I was thinking about buying a few 3s packs for my 450 size bird. Did you notice they have a code at the end for the quality? H seams to be the best and are still very cheap.

I just ordered 4 of the Zippy R 3s 2500mah, for the Trex 500. I'll let you know how they work out. Shipping was $25. At $40 a pack they are still a bargain. The Zippy's come in 3 different types:

Zippy - standard Chinese cells
Zippy H - high quality Chinese cells.
Zippy R - Korean cells, similar performance to FP,TP...etc.

I hope the Zippy R's work out, i'll have to order 4 more....LOL

Was that $25 shipping for all of them? Wonder what it would be for just one or two pack?

Shipping note: My order just shipped. So it takes 7 days before they even ship the order ( the lipo's were in stock when I ordered).

Something to consider when placing an order with Hobbycity.

Dang. That's a long time. I guess if you really needed them that would be a long time but if you have the time it's not that bad.

FWIW...I ordered 3 of these:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6442 .
They ship from within the U.S and I received them in 5 days. I have about 20-30 cycles on them and I'm satisfied so far.

Update

I recieved my 4 Zippy R 3s 2500mah packs for the Trex 500. All packs were shipped with a storage charge, and arrived in excellent condition. I have 4 cycles on each set, and they seem very strong. I will monitor internal cell resistance as they age ( cellpro 10s ).

If they still have this kind of power at 50 cycles then I will definately order more.
