I have the 7703D on my 500 and have a friend looking for a gyro for his 500. He found the 770T by JR and I was wondering if this is the same exact thing at the 7703D. Does anyone know what differences these two have, other than labeling, ?

The differences are only the sticker. Apparently Horrizon Hobbies wanted it named differently in the US.. this also is the same as some of the servos ie. 8717's in US and in Australia ours are the 8915's.

Can you provide a link that shows this? If its manufactured in a different location I would wonder if they same exact components are being used.. could be better quality or could be less.

From my understanding the 770T was the old version of the 7703D it would be in the same date range of the JRG500T. I personally have never used one of the older models but the JR7703D rocks!!!

I asked the question about this last weekend at a fun-fly and was told by Nigel Brown (JR sponsored pilot in Aus) that it is 'sticker only difference'. As I said before horrizon asked for it that way.

From my understanding they are are all manufactured in Japan. Well thats what I have been told by the importer on where my gyro is being sent to get fixed.

If you go to the JR website and download the instruction manual pdf, you will notice that it is for the 770T. They are the same, I have one of each and both work awesome. save the few wxtra bucks and order it from overseas.....
