Model is stable in all axies. Piro flips seem to take less input around center. The change in the geometry has a lot to do with this. Axial roll, flips are very linerar. Very little correction required to keep them symeterical.

I did fly at FFF with hands off for a long period of time. Bobc1 was watching while I flew right to left and left to right while the model tracked fant

I have found that I had to cut back my ATV's on my aileron and elevator to prevent serious binding on the swash. Has anyone resolved this? My model is confirgured exactly as it is called out in the assembly manual. I

The auto's are much better with the Evo then the Xspec/Freya. . Push over autos leave you with tons of enegry for landing backwards. Also, axial rolling autos, one after another seem very easy . The roll rates seems much quicker then the Standard Freya,

Very impressed with the way the tail holds. The only upgrades I have on the model are: carbon vertical and horizontal stabs and NHP tail blades. Everything else is stock.

The collective input around center stick has a similar feel to the Avant.

THis model climbs well and hard to bog. Collective response for tic-toc's is very impressive. Its right there and I'm running a Futaba 9350 for collective. Can't imagine what the fast Airtonics servo would make this bird do? :-)

I did have the split collar used to hold the main mast in place come loose twice. Pulled the bolt , cleaned it with alochol and applied blue locktite and have no more issues with it. I ran about 3/4 of a gallon thru a new YS91 today so I didn't have the same crisp response Bobc1 has because his motor is broken in.

Recommend you check these areas during assemebly and if needed do this:

) Grind/file the birdcage crossmembers until there is 0 play on the flybar between the birdcage ends & the seesaw.

2) Grind/file a small amount from the inner spacers on the Bell-Hiller arms to obtain a perfect, no lateral play fit.

3) Use one or two 8 x 12 x .1 mm feathering spindle washers on the collective pitch assembly pivot shafts to remove all sideways lateral play. This will eliminate wear on the aluminum pivot shaft inside the bearing ID's.

More to follow tomorrow.

Regards

Chuck

Scooterpilot, I love the way you paint your heli's. Do you use spraycans or an airbrush?

Laurens,

I don't paint the heli's. I take my parts to Zoomshobbies.com in chatsworth, Ca and they paint them for me. The first time they painted my stuff I bought the fiberglass canopy and I provided them with the carbon tailfeathers, tailboom and tail boom supports and it cost $90.00 . I thought it be a very fair price.

The pictures really don't do the the paint any justice. The paint is very bright and makes it very easy to see the model in the air.

Chuck
