Yesterday wind was in the 15-20mph range with some gusting. I hovered a couple packs with only one issue, the heli was lifting off before half stick.

I flew the day before in 10-15mph wind with no issue. I checked my blades and they have an ever soo slight positive pitch at half stick, but it was leaving the ground at like 3/8ths stick.

Is this caused by wind? My TH curve was something like 0-60-80-90-100 I tweaked it a little lower, but anything lower and it starts to shake front to back.

Air moving across the rotor disk makes it more efficient= less pitch and less power for lift off. I think the wind was causing your issue.

Welcome to the joys of translational lift. :) Any lateral movement of air across the rotor disc increases its efficiency and lift. Doesn't matter if it's wind or the movement of the heli through the air.

Thanks, I was hoping to hear that.
