I've been flying my 450 at a grass site just outside of downtown that used to be an old warehouse. It's on W. Dallas and Montrose with a large driveway suitable for several vehicles on the W. Dallas side. In the pic from Google Earth, it still shows the buildings that were there before they demolished them. It doesent look very big in the pic but it's more room than you use at Tom Bass. There are apartments on one side so nitro will probably be too intrusive. No one seems to care when I fly there.
Not sure how long it will stay as an empty grass field but in the meantime, us inner loopers can have a place close by to get some flights in.

I fly at a similar place in the Houston Galleria area. But, they are building a highrise on the site I'll have to check this out once I can no longer fly there.

Thanks for the tip!
