is there any tutorials or vids (finless's?) on how to program and set one of these tx's up? it's a whole different ball game when compaired to my 6ex 72mhz lol. i'm not used to this many options, and my small brain is starting to cramp up. anyone?

nevermind, i figured it out, just took some tinkering. one thing i'm stuck on though. i was under the impression that i could have three different gyro settings, one each for normal/idle1/idle2. i've got my idleup switch assigned to E and gyro assigned to B. am i missing something simple?

I just got my 7c 2.4 last week but have been gone on a trip to florida (yea life is rough). Next week im going to start switching everything over from the 6ex 2.4 to the 7c. Reading the manual I can see everything is different and should be a challenge.
I was also looking for a "finless how to vid" but I think a 9c is prabably the same setup.

anyone know if it's possible to get different gyro gain settings with each idleup setting? i thought there was a way to do that, but i cant' figure it out.

The 7c fm (pcm) is the same as the 7c 2.4 FASST isn't it? I was thinking the only difference is the 2.4 ghz . If thats so watch Bob's T-Rex se vids , he uses a old 7c fm I think.

cool, i'll check that out. does anyone know about the gyro settings on idle 1 & 2? can you program different gains for idle 1 & 2? i can't believe that nobody knows that answer.
Yes you can. Program Gyro through your idle up switch. I don't have my radio in front of me but there is a gain function for each mode.

I know it can be done on my old 7c that's why I refered you to Bob's vid , that's where I learned how set the gain on normal , idle1 and 2

it's not letting me watch vids today for some reason, even after erasing cookies and all that. i'll try again later. so even though i have my gyro on switch b, and my idles on switch e i can have different gain settings for 1 & 2? just trying to make sure.

I have my gyro on switch G as well as the normal , idle1 , idle2 .
On the gyro menu if your in A thats head holding , if you scroll to the N and below your into no head holding.
Mine looks like this in gyro menu
GYRO (SW-G)
UP>A 36%
CT>A 50%
DN>A 50%
My Futaba 7C is the plank version so the 3 position switch is on the opposite side (right hand side)and labled G where yours on the left side labeled E.
Just curious why not put the gyro on E and you can adjust the gain for each flight mode?
If for some reason you don't want head holding you can do a different setup for each flight mode

After thinking on your settings some more you will have 2 gain settings for each flight mode depending on position of switch B. That will work fine.
The setup I'm using there is no switch to accidently have in the wrong position because it's bound to the same switch as the flight mode. I'm trying to understand myself, I'm no expert as you can probably tell.

you may not be an expert, but i guarantee (wow i butchered that spelling lol) you've got more experience then me lol. this 7c is new to me, up from a 6ex 72mhz so all the switches and functions are a bit intimidating.
anywho, i didn't know that i could assign idleup and gyro both to the same switch. ok, i just got out my tx and played around for a minute. right now, i'm using my two idle up settings, both having the same pitch curve but idle 1 is 85% flat and idle 2 is 95% flat. i'm using idle 1 for 6 cell lipo idle 2 for 7 cell a123. i'll likely leave it as is for now, being that i do no 3d and can barely manage slow forward flight. once i get better and can benefit from having different gain modes for each flight mode, i'll switch. plus it's nice to be able to switch to non heading hold to check my tail for trim.

what do you mean by this statement? if i program (switch B gyro, two position switch) switch b up, we'll say A50% and down say N70%, these values stay the same no matter which idle i'm in. i don't see how i can achieve two gain settings for each flight mode, but it's likely something simple i'm missing. thanks for all the help your giving.

Page 74 of the manual shows how to set the gyro to have different gain sensitivity for each flight condition.

We are saying the same thing except you gave the example of having hh on or hh off and I said you could have 2 gain settings .
I like the ideal of being able to turn head holding off any time I want but the down side of that is I will have one more thing to set in the correct posistion before or while flying.
I have crashed 2 times due to going inverted with the flight mode switch in normal. Knowing that about me you can understand why I want my radio setting as fool proof as possible.
