Went to install the final part of my build last night which ended up being the boom struts and bam i'm left hanging. So as Bob mentioned in his video the manual shows non-standoff style balls being inserted into the frame side of the boom mounts with 2.5x20 screws. His ended up being M3 screws and having to drill out the 2.5 balls. Well mine did not have any smooth balls left in the kit and only 4 standoff M3 balls. OK no big deal I was going to use the 3MM ones as Bob ended up doing but my frame insert appears to be 2.5mm. I have no 2.5 screws left in the kit and only 3mm balls left.
Looks like a trip to the hardware store is in order and not sure what i'm going to do about the balls. Maybe i'll just hardmount the struts to the frame with an oring or two till I can order up the right hardware.
For as enjoyable as the actual build on this bird has been Mikado definately has some work to do sorting out their documentation discrepencies and pick list procedures when throwing parts into the kit. Also remember I was missing a whole bag of links.
