Hey what I found out with the new firmware is you HAVE to use the gyro sense menu for the wait for low gain to to work with the DX7 and X9303.

What you do is bind it in rate mode which would would be a value under 50. Then once it's bound turn the RX off change the gain in the gyro sense back to your HH you use and bingo whenever you turn your TX/RX on it will initialize once the TX/RX link is made.

The wait for low gain DOES NOT WORK WHEN USING ATV's I've tried it every way I can think of and couldn't get it to work. IF your using ATV's when you turn on your TX put the swtich you chose into RATE then turn on the RX. If you turn it all on and forgot to put it in rate then just flip with switch from HH to rate then it will initialize.

Make sense? The bind with left rudder doesn't work anymore I don't think. At least it didn't for me.

Oh yeah I'm using a X9303.

Do you have to send the gyro in for update or the firmware is updatable by the customer?

It's updateable by the customer IF you have the Flashlink connector.

And with the new update is the "Event Logging" which will record events of interest(to Spartan). If the gyro sees and such events, it will record these and when you load up the new configuration software, it will give you the option of sending the event log to Spartan for review. Of course, you will need the USB FlashLink to access the confirguration software or forward the event log to Spartan.
Still, pretty cool to have a gryo that can tell the designer what's going on w/o having to be sent in.
