Does anyone know if there is a stainless steel flybar available. Raptor or Trex 600 will be fine, it is just that down here on the coast with all the humidity the leading edge rusts badly and makes the inevitable removal difficult! I have tried oiling it but that is not very effective.
Thanks.

I have the same problem, busy shortening a TRex 600 flybar. Also bought a SS rod, only have to cut the threads, but in stainless it is a pain without the correct tools:arggg:. Will let you know if I get it done professionely.

If you are taking it off for replacement, then why not cut it off. I'm not sure stainless is the answer because as Vinger says its difficult to work with and also you will need the right grade. Either 304 or 316.
Also will stainless have the strength?

The Trex 450 has SS flybars available? They work fine.

i'd bet that if once you installed another new black flybar and then proceeded to raid your wife/gf's makeup bag and brush a thin (really thin) coat of clear nail polish on the flybar, or maybe just the leading edge, your rust issues will go away. and removal should not be a concern because that stuff scrapes off easy. just a thought.

Not a bad idea, perhaps a spray of my clear laquer that I spray canopies with.

Heliproz sells a Maverick brand stainless for Raptors, or order the Thunder Tiger one for a Titan or SE they are stainless.

I have been usin the trex 600 flybar and we in SC have alot of humidity problems too. It speeds up the roll rate alot and still looks brand new. I keep the helis in the garage also so they get no protection from the moisture. Just my 2 cents.
This has just come to me ! also flying at coast and same thing so another idea is heat shrink over the flybar to include some thread at each end then screw paddles to "seal " either end.
Pretty much a 5 minute job!
Can't see why it won't work and should not effect balance /performance etc.
