Man I gotta vent here....

So I get a PJ from another good fella here on the freak, what happens in less than 6 flights it decides to give up the ghost. So being a good guy he says send it back and he'll deal with it, cool. So I order a second PowerJazz brand new and guess what 3rd flight with it and it is screwed, man! I am a huge Kontronik fan but they are really screwin me around lately.

So the saga continues...I throw in a Plettenberg Heli Expert 30-12 into my flybared unit here the other day, running well and 3rd flight it seizes in flight!:DOH ARG!!! Can't even turn it as it binded so hard and was COOKIN hot! :bawl

So I barely escape that auto as I was super low and did not realize it right away, managed to pull it off with only a bottom crack in the canopy, but still how aggrevating.

Go to fly with one of my flybarless 600s and on hook up a AR9000 receiver literally smokes, man oh man so I got one of those on order now to. This same machine gave me scare of a lifetime when a BL251 TR servo gave up only the day before on its 6th flight total, good greif, to get into a controlled auto from a full piro while on knife edge is "very" difficult, lol.

So in my first two weeks of somewhat flyable weather off and on I am down to 2 machines flyable out of 5, what a joke. :arggg:

Looks like it os going to be another expensive season for me, lol. Back down to -10 or so at least that gives time for new ESCs, Motors and receivers to arrive...

Anyhow rant over.

No prob's shawn, it always feels better after a good venting. Sux's with your run of luck but think now its done how long you'll get before the next run of bad luck. I've found it defiently comes round now and then and if i've been flying for like 6-12 months i get nervous cause it must be getting close.
Good luck with your repairs

Hmm, I can't decide if your run of bad luck is worse than mine. Since completing my Logo November last year I've only had 20 short flights with it. 17 as Vbar then it self destructs. Slap on flybar head and CC85 dies. First 55-10-32 is DOA then decide to wait for Jive. Can't wait any longer so get another 55-10-32 which worked well today but still needs heatsink mod so still not 100% there yet in 5 months!

Hope our bad luck ends NOW!

Sorry to here about the run of bad luck, man. Hopefully it's not an ongoing trend. Sounds like you've had good luck with a bunch of components in the past so maybe the numbers were conspiring against you.

Wow, that is some bad luck. Sorry to hear about that Shawn.

I'm switching over to the DX7/AR7000 next week and I hope I don't end up with any of these type of issues. So far PCM has worked well but I'm paranoid about frequency conflicts.

I was not going to say anything about the PJ but we are sending one back also. Just a couple of flights and no longer boots up. ( I did not buy this one, my brother did...)
