Installed the Hacker A40-10L 8pole heli motor and YIKEEES it has tooo much power, but that's a good thing, right?:noteworthy

Will do more test hovering today (too windy to fly) and take some photos later and post it.

Here is the monster.

OK so full scale stop interfearing with my hobby, so here are some pics of finished mod with Rotorworkz frame and Hacker motor, Using 6cell 3300mAh Lipos, 20t pinion on 68t first gear, 20 OWB. Headspeed gov at 2100rpm. Flying time is 7=8 min with FF and mild aeros. Awesome power and with the GCT 515mm blades it transformed the beast to a highly efficient and great helo.

Other mods is the HTC E550 tail box and rotor, Hobbywing 5-7A BEC. Eventually my Hurricane is what I wanted. The real big change in performance is the Hacker motor and GCT blades.:clappp

Hey Man sounds like a great set up

So you got awsome power
Good effieciency
Goog flight times

Sounds like you found the ideal set up

Which 3300 packs are you using?

they look like Aplus is that correct?

Yes they are A-Plus packs, 2 of 3cell 3300mAh. I have a large selection of their packs from 3 cell 2200mAh for miniT to the 6cell 5300mAh for the TT E550. Never puffed or let me down, but then I always time flights to 80% rule and charge with a balancer.

What is that esc you are using with the big fat finned heat sink on it? I think I may be in the market for a real esc.

That's a Hobbywing 90 Opto, heatsink was fitted by myself from an aftermarket kit from LHS. Excellent gov mode, but the soft start is a bummer. Going to try a Castle Creations 60 as soon as it lands here. Ordered from overseas.

That's ironic. I have had periods of wishing I had just gotten a bigger Hobby Wing after all the grief I have had with the CC 60. Still can't tell if it is me or the esc. Seems to work then it doesn't. Lot's of people happy with them but there are some strange things going on with this thing.

The soft start on the HW 60 that crapped out was as good as it gets.
