I have the Futaba S9452 servos on my TREX600 cyclic. Two crashes (mild) and two stripped first gears. I bought metal gear servos for durability in a crash. I didn't know that Futaba would use a plastic 1st. My question is: What other Futaba servos might use this same 1st gear? Each time I need a 1st gear for the S9452 it cost me $25. I see many other Futaba servo gear sets for under $10. Anyone know which might have the same first gear?

OK so I see a few have read this thread. No one knows? Come on guys, your the cream of the crop surely an answer is to be had.....:arggg: I've spent $150 @ $25 a pop for 1 tiny little plastic 1st gear. Yea! I know quit crashing.

You can buy just the first and second plastic gears separate. They use plastic gears in the train to reduce the stress on the metal gears.
I would think these would work.

Or maybe these

I would think the first gear for the 9400 series servo is the one you need.

Thanks so much.... I did not know I could just by 1st gears. I hit the links and ordered the set that was in stock. If the picture is correct it should work because the tooth count is right. Might even be better nylon vs. semi-hard plastic.

The 1st gears sold seperate are no different composition than the ones in the servos or gear sets. Same gear just sold single.

So, Grimmer04 give us the verdict, do these replacements work or not..?
I'd like the get a spare replacement set ready and waiting  Just need to know which to order.
Thx,
Lad.
