Hi guyz,

I just tracked my shipment now and it shows that tommorow is the delivery.

i am new with governers and I chose the multigove after reading a lot about it in this forum.

How do you set the headspeed of the 600 N pro / OS hyper 50??

I am using 9303 2.4

thank you

Serge

I'm only sport flying, so I'm running mine at 1800. I think 3D pilots like to run theirs at 2000-2100.

Setting the head speed is a piece of cake: Just attach the display unit and, using the buttons on the display unit, dial in the RPM you want. I think the 9303 is like the DX7 in that you can assign the AUX2 channel to the flight mode switch, so you can hook the RPM control port on the Multigov to the AUX2 channel on your receiver, allowing you to have a different governor setting for each flight mode.

Read the directions on Aerospire's web site and that come in the package, they are very good and explain all the settings.

With the 9303 you can plug the gov into the gear channel on the RX and set three speeds, one for each flight mode. I have mine set like this.

Normal Mode - Speed1 - 1800RPM-OVR
Idle 1 Mode - Speed2 - 2000RPM-OVR
Idle 2 Mode - Speed3 - 2100RPM-OVR

I really like 2100 for hard 3D, I've tried higher but not sure if it's worth the extra wear and tear on the motor.

I've got mine on the flight mode switch on my DX7.

Normal - Gov Off
Idle 1 - 1900 Full Gov
Idle 2 - 2100 Ovs Limiter

Anthony,

I have a question for you. How can you fly in normal mode with the governor on? How those it kick in and how do you land? Does it turn off when you throttle down?

governors are set to "engage" at a set throttle stick position (typically 30%). so as long as the throttle stick is above 30% the governor will engage, below 30% it turns itself off.

Flying w/ the governor on in normal mode isn't recommended IMO. it can mask tuning issues that you would see if it was turned off.

Those above and myself are flying with the governor in overspeed limiter mode in normal.

The gov is on, but not in full gov mode. It is using the radios throttle curve but not letting it go beyond a certain RPM.

That is a good idea! Because I find my RPM in normal is way to high. When I go to Iddle up 1 and to thr RPM drops!

I have mine set on the flight mode switch on my 9303 as well....

normal.. off
Idle 1 = 1950
Idle 2 = 2050

So what are your governor settings (radio percentages Im using 100,0,-100) on the radio?
The multigov changes speed1,speed2,speed3 like it's supposed to.
Does the multigov recognize speed1, speed2 and speed3 correctly?
Mine seems to run at 2000RPM regardless of what I tell it.
I'm almost certain its the radio gov settings....

Does the multigov give you an option shut it off manually when you are using it in normal mode so you can be sure it is going to full throttle to check the high speed needle setting?

You can turn off the multigov in any mode by changing the RPM setting. I think anything below 300...well, maybe 500... will turn it off. I would have to go back and check posts or the manual to be certain of the exact number.

I have a 12FG, but the governor rate settings determine the mode, not the throttle curve.

0 is speed1
50 is speed 2
100 is speed 3

I have a different governor rate setting that corresponds to my flight mode.

Normal = 0 gov rate
Idle 1 = 50 gov rate
Idle 2 = 100 gov rate

Now, my throttle curves are set up as usual aside from the gov even being on there.

Since it recognizes the different speeds based on your radio settings, could it be the magnet? If it does not detect a magnet it defaults back to the radio's throttle curves.

I did a sensor test and it does say 100 when the magnet is under the sensor.
I do get speed1, speed2 and speed3.
I'll keep playing with it. Thanks for your help.

What is the advantage/difference between 2250 ovsp and 2250 full?

full = the governer works all the time to keep your headspead almost constant
ovsp= the governer is on standby and lets you use ur throthle curves, it will only work when the headspeed goes beyond the assigned rpm, so it doesnt let the engine to over rev

I can't beleive how I used to fly without multigov :arggg:

WOOT! Got mine working today.
The Sensor was intermitent with the magnet on the fan. Remounted so it's closer to the magnet and all is well :)
