The stock HB King canopy is not roomy enough for different setups. What other spacious canopies that'd fit the HB King? Any experiences out there?

Is the Belt CP canopy good upgrade?

I use a belt CP canopy on my HB cool...I did a little trimming and fitting but it works better than the stock one.

A standard trex canopy fits just fine. been flying mine like that for some time. lots of room for battery inside.

20g wow! Guess I'd best tell my bird it can't fly....

you sound like my son who built one plane so light, the wings folded up in flight....

actually you have to shave off about 8 grams of plastic from it for fitting and it is a thicker material so it protects your batts better. We have all switched to the belt CP canopy for this reason and the HB king 2s and HB cools still flies beautifully. It also helps out with the CG of the heli when you are using 1350mAH packs.

The Blade 400 canopy will also fit.
Expensive and a little heavier but does fit and I think looks good.

I've experimented with different configurations on my King, and I can definitely feel a difference in flight characteristics with a 20g weight change. My favorite configuration is how I've got it now, and it weighs in at 472g. Try it light, you might like it! :)

......Check out the burden my king 2 has to carry!! I land kinda hard and hate the flex in the trainers so I went this route. It flies like a dream with my Hyperion 3700.. No problems(except my piloting).

I did that to my trex when I was learning to hover. Looks cartoonish but it works.
