3 Blade TAIL T450 Complete

I'm going to post a new thread for this. So basically I completed the 3 bladed Tail for the T450... and I must say that I lost a little hair over it. I've been working for about 16 hours all weekend. I thought I had it complete on Sat. Then I discovered the control rods rubbed on the linkage when turned and doing a full left...

Basically I was working for 8-9 hours, then I said "Shit, I don't think this going to work". So I left it, had a beer and forgot about it until the next morning.

Not willing to give up, this morning I took a drive to the LHS and found (THANKFULLY) some smaller ball and links from a micro heli! I tried them on a smaller saddle and DAMN... it worked... the clearance was just right. So another 10 hours later...


Here are the results... with all the work I feel it's a wonder to behold. AND won't you know it, my LHS said Align is coming out with a 3/4 blade tail this summer to match the 3-5 blade main rotor...

But I did it myself. So there!

OK... I'm taking orders for the 3 Blade Tail assemble for the TRex450. It works with your stock tail shaft and control arm. But you have to remove the control bearing assemble from the control arm and install my new control arm in it's place.

I'm charging $100.00 which includes shipping if you are North America.

You get the 3 blade hub, control arm set and all links. You need to unscrew your stock tail arm assemble, and screw it into the new control arm, then put on your grips... you'll already have these and only need to buy a single grip. I have one grey grip left and could be coaxed into sell it :-)

So get them while you can, delivery will be about 2-3 weeks. I already have a few on order and will start those once I take a break for a few days.

The four blade tails will go into production in April and those will be around $125-150.
