Is it possible to increase movement of a cx2 by having an extended inner shaft (to prevent blade strikes) and putting the servo hooks out a couple holes on the servo arm?

also a shorter flybar???

please help, i am trying to upgrade my cx2. I want it to be able to fly outdoors, in slight breezes

will these ideas work?

What else can i do? (besides getting a cf boom kit)

All of those will work. All of those are currently on my CX2. None of them will help you fly in the wind.

Those all work fine, plus there is a set of Ball bearing 180 motors that are direct bolt ins andthey add power, and give longer run times Boomtown hobbies has them.

I have these motors and running them on a 11.1V 1000mA 3 cell lipo. I have my controls on the 3rd hole out from the screw. It screams.......for a CX2 :wow2:

Hi,

I got the extended mainshaft from extreme heli and I havn't had a blade strike since. Even after moving my servo's rod positions one hole out. Now it is flyable in mild breeze and can turn harder. If you have local hobby town USA or google extreme heli cx2 parts you can get the extended main shaft upgrade.

On your Servo horn are there are 4 holes, just move the control arm out try one hole at a time.

I do know that U can move 1 hole up on one of the servos, Which helps alot but if you move a hole up on the other the blades colide and down she goes. I'm sure you know all about the proportional mix and the gain. Did you know that you can drill a hole in the canopy at both points so you don't hafta remove it for adjustments, also use roofing nails as landing gear.
