I am a total newbie. Thanks to Finless Dave, I have setup a 450 SA and am able to hover and move around a little tail in. But my 401 seems to drift. I have it set to a gain of 71 on my DX7 and it holds the head pretty well, but the tail drifts to the left (head to the right) and I'm constantly having to correct it. Is this normal? If not, any ideas would sure be appreciated.

1961mga,
First try bringing your "Heading Hold" gain down a little more. What is your gain setting for "normal" ? You might try bringing "normal " up a little depending on the current setting.
Take another look at the 401 set-up video.
Also, our Hero ( your's and mine ) is MR.BOB "Finless" WHITE:clappp::noteworthy

Finless Dave is Bob's evil brother. If you watched HIS vids, it's no wonder your gyro's drifting.:YeaBaby:
Dave's the same guy that will tell ya to ditch that 450 and pick up a Blade CP Pro, complete with Telebee gyro.
Gotta watch out for him.:banana

clear trim out of rudder for all flight modes then recycle power to the chopper ensuring you initialize the chopper in heading hold mode. Ensure when you are initializing the chopper you are allowing it to be as still as you can. If you power the chopper up then carry it to the flight line which may change the direction the nose is pointed in just move the rudder left/right 3 times quickly after you place the model on the flightline.

I will never listen to Finless Bob's evil twin again! :) Thanks guys, I do plug the heli in, then move it to the flight line, so that is probably my problem. I have been flying planes for 25 years (barely qualifing for the Old Fart's Club), but this is completely different. I tell you, this heli stuff is much more addictive than planes. Not only that, but I can't fly my planes in my driveway!
Thanks again.
