I am curious if anyone runs the electronic ignition on your gasser helis.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a gasser sometime in the future, but after watching my buddy pull on the rope start of his old Min Air xcell till he nearly had a stroke I'm not so sure I'm up to it :?
I know that most plank guys who run the electronic ign need a prime flip, a "pop" flip, and the third flip it's running.
He had a new plug, good spark, and was getting fuel. It started once, then quit and after that it was a waste of effort. 50 to 60 pulls later using various throttle settings and choke settings he finally gave up. I know that a few guys have adapted their gas heli's to a top start so they can use a Dynatron, and maybe that's the answer.
I've been frustrated by enough weedeaters to throw them across the lawn, and dont want that kind of hassle with a heli.
Are the Zenoahs really that troublesome, or was it just his?
I'd really like a gasser eventually, but want some reassurance that this isnt the norm.

probably just flooded it...its prety easy to do. They usually just fire right off after a couple of pulls.

3 - 4 pulls to start it for the 1st time of the day then once after that.

Well you were a little bit unlucky watching that stubborn engine, most Zenohas
with prime bulb and choke lever will start, being cold, with two pulls choke fully closed, and finally a third pull with the choke fully open, once hot it will start with just a pull. It`s a joy to start indeed.
