If you havent heard of the problem its nothing new, the plastic really cant handle the tailspeed its carring which is why me and the other guy on here were researching swift tailboxes... i ended up just getting the esky one for now..

Does the metal tail have pulley wheels to keep the belt from rubbing the boom?

not that i can see.

mine wasnt rubbing with the plastic, at least not from what i could see or hear, it was very smooth and quite.

I wouldnt put too much pressure on that tail by tightning the belt even more tight than it came from the factory.

The swift tailbox doesnt seem to have the wheel pulley either, and i dont know why they are not adding it as the diameter of the belt pully is quite large and would lend to the belt rubbing against the boom.

ahh I'm still alive, just been down and out cause I'm still waiting for parts for my newest ES600 and repair parts for my ES600 that I crashed, won't be able to fly either until next week, but soon. I'll also have a whole set of vids coming for it too, much better then my last ones, which really weren't anything more then a quick look at the ES600. Glad the first vids kinda helped you mysly4.

just a question for you guys as soon as the e smart starts to get light the tail seems to have major vibration in tail and landing skid is this norm or any ideas

this is the metal kit form heli direct main blades balanced and i even thyed a test and proven 550 blades no vibe without blades but with both seems pretty bad

thank lowhurtz

I found the stock tail blades to be unbalanced and too flexible. I balanced them and this took away some of the bad vibes but eventually switched to carbon tail blades with better results. Also the stock plastic landing gear is really quite weak and flexible and seems to amplify any vibrations. Did you balance the head as a unit on a hi point or similar balancer ? The flybar paddles are another culprit to an imbalanced head. Try moving the flybar weights to achieve proper balance. I also have the metal kit and it took some time to get it vibe free.

 Now tell me how to stop the belt from rubbing the boom!?

I haven't been flying much cause of it......so my 400 flies twice as much.

I didnt have any vibration and the tail blades were balanced (i got the white upgrade blades with mine)

Mine also didnt rub on the boom so i dunno what could be the difference, remember now you guys got yours right as it was released and many things on mine were a bit upgraded over your versions.

Yes it is, the canopy didnt come with front holes drilled so I just flipped the front posts around. The battery holds it down well enough.

I like it!! Is that paint or decals. I was about to order one, so hows the quality. Are you going to do a paint job of your own or stay stock? Which looks just great anyway.

They are decals. Probly just stay the way it is for now...gotta conectrate on learning to fly before I purty her up too much :YeaBaby:

Only thing I HIGHLY recommend is put lube (I used tri-flow (non-aerosol)) on the grouments other wise you really fight it putting on/off. I'm okay with it. The only thing I did not like is the rear holes came drilled high, I had to drill the lower ones myself.

Observation #1.

you have a huge front lawn why the hell are you still in the back yard where there is tries and big wooden fence to snag you??? LOL

Are you afraid of getting embarrased if you crash out front?

Thanks for the info Lock. Yes I noticed the extra holes. I use silicon SL4 grease for the same reasons. Its good around plastic and rubber. Canopy looks great:thumbup:.

2 reasons 1 is WINDS at least if it get too bad in the back I can duck down below the fence line and 2 people - I was flying my 400 out front Friday and a car load of teens drove by stopped was yelling out the window how freaking cool it was and screaming "hey land it on my car" I just dont need any extra destractions. LOL

Thanks except for the extra (lower) holes I had to drill thats the way it came. Bought it from heli direct. Its fiberglass, the shield came installed, and where the plastic one has a decal of a screen, this one came with actual screens installed on it.

if thats you at the controls, you really really need to stop people from distracting you or ignore them completely.

Also why didnt he/you bring it back?

Wind bother the Esmart? never, wind doesnt even bother my Belt CP... but i guess if your not used to flying in the wind it would be a problem... Suggest you give it a whirl, and get used to it.... weather wount be getting better as the years go by only worse.

distractions yeah... something else to get used too but in time you learn to tune them out completely.

Yeah I am still learning, I can handle about 10 mph winds on the 400 and 15 on the 600 keep in mind this is just tinkering at home, at a field actually flying (have not done yet) I'm sure the momentum of FF would prob not notice winds......I'm just waiting for a calm day to learn/practice REAL FF once I get over that hurdle I could prob do it in winds too....

I know, I know, most of it is just FEAR in my mind......I need to just do it, but I'm a scardy cat.
