Boy i wish i knew....
But he's progressing very very fast, he's only been at it now for 5 months and i finally got him to do foward flight... needless to say the hovering in the wind from all sides did him very well, he's now swooping his Belt CP around like Airwolf.
Guess he just has to much fun with it and by the time he's done with all his batteries i'm also finished with mine.
Which brings me to the battery issue again.... Need to get some really bad, dont think these 3s 2200 mah's have much longer LOL.... when i'm done using them they are very hot and starting to swell.... Just as well i guess they must have 50-60 flights on each of them already in the Belts we own.
but dont worry I'll get some video for you guys soon enough.. even if i have to bring the Misses with me to do it.

Yes its a huge hurdle trust me i know... been trying to beat it in my bro for a month, and like i said he finally got past the 2nd Hurdle (the move to foward flight)
He really didnt even learn nose in, and he does just fine when the heli is in forward flight and coming towards him.... its just something you have to do, buy some parts and just say Screwit and do it....
Dont care how professional of a flyer you are, if the crash is going to happen it will happen so its no use worrying about it.
Dont worry :) you'll move forward.. from the video's i see you doing some slow foward flight, you should do perfectly fine in fast foward flight.

I have a pair of 4300's and a pair of 5000's I'm flying them 6mins and they are slightly warm, cellpro says 43-54% when charging so I can up my times when nerves relax :YeaBaby:

Anyone know what canopies fit the Esmart???
Was looking at the Lepton EX its canopy seems to have the extra holes for the lower canopy pin mount.

The lepton canopy will not fit, it is really slim. You can mod a trex 600 canopy to fit. It involves cutting new mounting holes and some trimming. Anyway I found pinions that will work and I am currently trying out the 10 teeth, I also have the 11 teeth pinion(32-pitch = .8 modulus). No need to try the swift parts swap.

anyone have any pics of a trex canopy on the esmart??? Also which? the 500 or the 600 canopy.

my lipos start to swel up after just 4 or 5 charges ,no flight time just few hovers,is it better to have 2-5000mah`s or 4-2200mah`s?i got 4 2200mah lipos and seems to give me long flight (hover) time ,about 10 to 12 min,

I did use 4 but now run 2 better? who's to say
1 benefit is your setup of 4 you are getting 4400mah were the other is 5000 its only 600mah more not even sure if that will make a noticeable difference.
less plugs/connections to deal with:confused:
I dont know.....someone with more experience and knowledge will chime in....

Its neither here nor there.... with 4 you risk as LockMD knows all about the chance of fire due to one battery not as well charged as the rest, plus extra weight added by more connectors/wires.
i personally would go with 2x5000mah.

thats what i was thinking, all those connectors and wires, plus the time to charge, with the align RCC-4CX charger takes almost 3hr to charge one 2200mah lipo,so there goes all day ,i`ll try the two lipo setup :fly

If you can make a Y harness for 2 batts and ending up in a single 6S connector, then balance charge them that way, you will have longer life for your packs. This makes both packs have the same charge level before you use them. Also designate the permanent pairs that you are using as pairs, don't mix and match them. I did it this way with my trex 600 before I started buying 6S packs(3-4 min flight time). I use a v-balancer and just made up the y- harness from different adapters I found. Now I just use 6S packs on the e-smart since I started buying them for the trex 600 anyway. I am just using an 11T pinion with the the stock motor on 6S and the e-smart rocks!

are you saying it is safe to charge lipos connected ??? i was told not to do that because it will burn up the charger

Not connected from the main plugs but connected to a Y harness from the balance plugs and balance charged as 6S from a 6 cell capable charger and balancer combo.

ok,i see what you saying, well for now that would not work for me,the charger can handle max four cells, but thanks for heads up ,bigger and better things in the future :Bang

I have been using this charger for about 3 months now and it's able to charge 6S packs no problem(B650): http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=B3605185
I also use the B6 smart balancer and I have all the adapter boards. These are really inexpensive but reliable system with good protection circuitry.

Looks like I finally got her setup with no rub on the boom. Not sure why the metal tail box made soooooo much of a difference but it has clearance now so I wont worry about the why and just be glad it is :)
Want to strap the batteries down a tad better, should get some air time (finally) tomorow.
Here is a pic next to my 620SE build, they are both the same height the 620 is just a tad longer.

Okay now you have to get your vid up and posted before mine LOL.....I prob wont be doing any video tonight just will be glad to have it in the air with no vibs or concerns about belt rubbing issues.

You almost have it timed pretty well, that is what I would like to do.
WAIT A MINUTE you can barely do FF on the ES600, that cant be you as the pilot.

LOL :YeaBaby:,no i cant do FF with my es600 yet, that thing is still so big to me and it scares the heli out of me :wow2:, but i`m having fun learning with my falcon 3d,for the first time i can say : it was not my fault ,i was trying to loop it couple of times in normal mode but it would not loop,so got in hover about 50' up and flipped the idle up switch for the first time (had this heli for almost a year), about 1.5 seconds later :Fan,heli just spun around and hit the ground like rock, when i saw it going down i gave it full throttle but it didnt do anything:dontknow,i still have to look at flight recorder and see my throttle and pitch right before the crash, oops, i`m hijacking this thread :YeaBaby:

Hijack is cool I think I am the OP so we are good :YeaBaby:
Well, I must say I am impressed it did kinda look like you at the end when you said oops.......I know maybe be stupid but are you sure you were in idle up?
Get this - I am just now going to test my ES600 - I sold my cellpro4s and wont get my 10s until monday - BUT it took 69 mins for the Imax-B5 to put 2727 into the batt. I cant believe I used to like this charger.......know of anyone that wants to buy it? ;)
Anyways my hands are getting sweaty just thinking about it --- but gonna go test the ES600 (crossing fingers and toes)
Edit: I see you said you were in normal mode disregard my idle up question - Hey falcon 3D who is that made by, Century?

well I am HAPPY to report I am finally airborn again. I put her in a hover for about a minute and landed to check things batts stayed and temps were good.....so I did another 5 mins just messing in the backyard minor FF and side in hovers......
End results highest temp was 107 on the ESC and its 80 out so I think that is reasonable, no?
Country music flying vid coming soon.....

LOL:YeaBaby: i did say "oops",i realy wanted to say WTF!!! and then :FThat ,but because of my camera operator (she`s only 12) i didn`t,and how the heli you put 2727 in your lipo in 69 min ????,it takes me 3hr for 2200,i`m gonna have take look at this Imax-B5,oh yeah ,the falcon 3d is made by Art-Tech and their idle up switch is called 3D mode, anyway while i`m here i`m gonna hijack your thread again :YeaBaby:,here is the whole flight from the ground http://youtube.com/watch?v=RRRBlJaCMfI and here from the flycam http://youtube.com/watch?v=EVRYPZ_vIEM
