Hows it hanging today, I went for my first loop with my Belt CP, stuffed it into the ground pretty good, but afterward I couldn't help but think, "If it costs the same to repair a ES600 as it does a Belt CP, why do I still own 2 Belt CP's?" So I think I made up my mind to sell both my Belt CP's and get another ES600 in their place, what do you think :banana

Oh I don't think its good for a lipo to be stored fully charged, a day or two isn't bad, but I try to anticipate my flights so that way I don't have fully charged lipos laying around, and the good thing about the ES600 is it'll handle alot of wind so as long as its not raining its always flight time with this monster

What happened with the belt, was it your first attempt ever, maybe not enough height?

i think you got the right idea, it is good to have many helis but they have to be same kind helis ,that way you always have extra parts ,that would be pertty cool - one heli a day :YeaBaby: ,sorry to hear about the Belt ,was the hatcam rolling?

I had plenty of height, I just lost my orientation. Guess I was a little far away from myself.

Yeah I'm def starting to figure out about having different models, kinda why I sold my HBK II's, but now I think I'll stick to my HBFP's and ES600's. Those 2 are enough for me, well those 2 model helis :smokin:

its funny the Belt CP I stuffed into the ground has a broken frame, its crooked now, but after a few replacement parts (some of which were previously damaged in other crashes) the thing still flys pretty darn good, amazing.

I had the hat cam rolling but you really can't tell whats going on and its kinda fuzzy, but it is a good enough vid for my "Best Crashes" vid that will be done prob in another month or so. I don't crash too much now adays, but I still have more inverted flight to learn :fly

Lock your progressing nicely.... Its a hurdle i know :) But you'll have to break it one day or remain hovering forever :)

Ahhh i still remember the first time i said screwit, i going to just fly this thing :)

I mainly did it to help with orientation, hence the different colors, but ya think it will float?

Gonna edit it now and then upload it, I sold my 2 Belt CP's so now I can build me another ES600, didn't sell them for enough to get a spare battery but enough to get most of what I need. Gonna build it for $400 minus the Rx cause I already have a AR6100e. Would you believe that my Red one I fly so much only has a AR6100e on that too. Originally I was using the Ar6100e till I got another AR6200, I heard that because the 6100 is meant for park fliers (line of sight aircraft) that putting it on a bird this size I take the chance of having the signal blocked by the heli. So I was just gonna use it for hovering till I got the other Rx because I thought without it I'd crrash, but one day I forgot and started flying it all over the place and had no probs, then after I realized I didn't have to worry I've just been flying the crap out of it. No probs yet, I realize there is still a possability of it but I use no carbon fiber and very little metal on my helis so I'm not overly worried about it, plus I have my Rx strapped to the boom support so I get a pretty unobstructed view of the Rx, and I have another AR6100e so I'm gonna get a semi-metal kit from BPHobbies as well as the motor, BEC and Servos there, then get a Keytech HH gyro and Hobbywing ESC from Ka-Planes, It should put me around $400, these helis kick a@@ :banana

right now I wanna do vid, photo is soo much more involving and expensive, soon though, its the only way to get one of a kind shots. I love the fact that with a heli we can get one of a kind shots and vids that have never been taken before, rc helis open up a whole new realm of possabilities for us, some that most will never get, can't wait till I'm that good of a pilot, to do real good vid you need to get skills like this

This is me from earlier, not a great vid but at 3:26 I enter a dive in which I almost snapped my blades, the flexed so much I though for sure it'd be digging dirt, but it didn't, guess I'll have to take it easier till I get some carbon blades

the first vid from my ES600, was really windy today but as usual the ES600 didn't care and flew great, now its time to build a cam mount, its being held on with rubberbands :YeaBaby:

oh wow, I just found out that if you go to my youtube page where that helicam vid is, you can select to watch it in High quality, much better that way, you get a better sense of height. just double click the vid, it'll bring you to the web page

Well had an accident, heli shut off at about 40ft and dropped onto a brabed wire fence :Owned, damage is a little over $100

sory to hear of your crash.....:( Have you figured out what went wrong? what rx were you using?

did you think to check temps of your batts, esc/bec?

Dude, That's what I call a re-kit. Just buy the basic ARF frame w/out motor and transfer your electronics from there...just use the remaining good parts on this one as spares!..It's cheaper.

no idea what happened, all temps were fine, slightly warm as usual, was using a AR6100e, everything still works fine, except the elevator servo, wasn't even far away from myself when it happened, all I can figure is brown out on the Rx, Might have even been the BEC, but yeah this one is being retired, gonna get a semi-metal kit to replace it with.
