I've gotta get something smaller. My time is so freaking limited, got a heli-tote *love it, very good quality!*. Carry my birds (cppro, B-400, later my 450SE) everywhere, but the local winds are 28 knots plus, so I'm down here, again,... this sucks!

Hokay I'll join the uprising nation of extreme, outrageous and certifiable 200 benders....

...gotta at at least chase a cat or p**ss off the motel lady ;-).....

Gotta get head speed, I feel the need for speed!!! I wanna 3d in my freaking closet then <come out> and ROCK with my T-Rex... ....oooh, I'm a regular guy, don't read too much into that...

BuzzKill, gimmee some help man, I ain't feeling so good.....

YEEHAAA! It's 200 TIME!!!!

MMMAAASSSTTTEEERRRCCCAAARRRDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't fight it.

There's a simple 12 step program that'll help after you admit to yourself your an heli adict.

Steps:

1.build
2.crash
3.build
4.crash
5.build
6.crash
7.build
8.crash
9.build
10.crash
11.build
12.get a sim

You could consider to reverse Buzzkill's 12 step program. Just a thought. :YeaBaby:

Oh, absolutely,

The sim is a hobby unto itself, and no-crash practice has probably saved us a lot of talent that might have gotten frustrated or burned out in the learning curve.

Just get a good graphics card ;-)

Buzzkill,

I started with number 12 and worked backwards . . . pretty much the same results!

I saw on the 500 forum your going large. If you dump your 200's, let us know. I'm sure someone will pick them up. Me for instance. Your going to really like the 500. Pretty rock solid after flying a G200.

Jad,

A. Don't *even* get me started on that one...
I usta code basic in really small cores, and spent hours awake at night scheming up ways to save one bit. Not byte, bit. ...and how'd ya think I got this handle??? ;-)

B. Now I'm gonna have to get that new Toshiba laptop with the 8700 graphics chip, so I can read the gyro label and see the little light in Realflight, Thanks guys. ;-)

3. Back to topic, I know, unusual for me...

I'm waiting to order my 200 until I've left time for a guy whose selling one to get back to me.

In the mean time, any recommendations on servos and gyros would be appreciated. Of course I've been advised about weight, so that's a key point.
I've seen what AMain has, and feel pretty confident in that. Infinity has another setup, but I'm a little sceptical, even if it's a tad lighter. I'm already planning on the AR6100 for the radio, as I'm way sold on 2.4 and don't see anything lighter, but if I'm off on this one ditto on any guidance.

I'll do a search on the shaft tailboom, any recommendations on other potential mods would be great, not that I'll go parts-happy, somehow I seem to get pretty conservitive, ...just after I go off the deep end.

Any advice on how to go about my second carbon ship would be great!

I said I'm in, now I'm out!!!

Shot down so soon..

We got word that daughter #3 is getting married yesterday, now it appears that those years of subliminal elopement tapes did not work, and she's gonna raise the bar on my (2 down- two to go, blessed with four girls) cultural dilemma.

Well, shucks, I have as much fun spoiling her as I do flying, so no complaints. Good lad too, likes flying as well, so I'm really ahead of the game (think trainee noob, bird dog, *go fetch son!* ;-)

Buying is just like flying lads, euphoria one second, dirt-nap the next.

I've got one opportunity left with the guy up here selling a 200, (I appeared before the budget committee, stating committed obligations...) but he needs a t-rex kit and unfortunately I'm already in love with the one I got. Guess I'll just be forced to lurk and learn for a bit, but I'll be back. So go chase some cats for me, I'll be back sooner than you fear!
