I have had this for about 6-7 months and have replaced everything that can "wear out" (belt, gears, all bearings, shafts, etc) and then some, plus have lots of spares so I can always do an immediate repair if needed... I have had many "small" crashes as I have been learning to hover. Usually it breaks the wood blades and bends the flybar and maybe the main shaft (carbon steel ones are definitely better). With the V2 rotor head I seldom bend the 4mm feathering shaft (3mm V1 feathering shaft bent every time the blades hit the ground).
I have gotten good enough where I generally don't "crash" anymore. Hovered two packs on Saturday in gusty winds without any problems.
This heli started as a Trex 450SE V1 with black CF sides. It has been extensively upgraded with complete new Align V2 tail cage/controls with SS ball "Chinese weights" (great mod), complete new Align V2 rotor and swash, V2 main/auto rotation gears, 347mm CF boom, GY401 with underside mount, 9650 tail servo, three HS-65MG swash servos, and 325 Pro woodies installed. It now has V2 silver CF lower panels, a new bottom tray, new 9650 tail servo, new CF boom (from my “worst” crash when the wind blew me into a bush in my front yard and it landed in the street). It has the 430L motor (3550Kv) and I also put in a new Castle Creations Phoenix 45 ESC last month (stock ESC worked one flight then wouldn’t spin up the motor on the next so I just replaced it with one I had in the tool box for another project). It currently has a new AR6100 Rx installed (broke an antenna wire off so sent it back to Horizon Hobby and they sent me a new one at no charge) but I also have a Hitec Electron6 Rx (Hitec/Futaba Neg shift compatible) I could include (instead of the AR6100) if the winner doesn't have a Spectrum Tx.
Included are spare 325 Pro woodies (new) and a set of Fun-Key/Rotortech 325 CF blades (new). Also have complete new V2 spare silver CF frame sides (left/right and upper/lower), new Align fiberglass canopy in the box, new in package plastic “CF look” canopy (has split in the bottom at the seam but easy to fix with packing tape) and LOTS of extra new parts. Includes: extra tail blades, almost all bearings, belt, feathering shafts, main shafts, true blood dampeners, Aluminum tail boom, screws, balls, ball links, linkage shafts, drive gears, auto rotation gears, belt drive shaft/gear, skid tubes, new extreme skids, used blue low profile aluminum skids, and other stuff. Also will include the Align blade balancer, a digital tachometer and an align pitch gauge. There is also an Align aluminum hard heli case (kind of beat up) and aluminum parts case (that heli kit came in). Will include Align 16C and 20C 2100 packs (good condition) The two 22C packs shown in the pic are puffed, even though they are my newest packs and not abused (Align 2100mAh 22C packs are pieces of crap!) and are not included (I use them for powering things up on the bench). All packs have deans.
I will also include a Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra AC/DC Lipo/Peak Charger (~$100) which is great because you can use it at the field and at home without having to buy a separate power supply. I also have a Thunder Power 205V balancer that I can include for another $35 if you want it (sells for $60). Batteries were balanced with every charge cycle.
One note, the new V2 metal parts are a darker blue color than the original SEV1 metal parts (lighter blue) but the V1 parts are only the main bearing block holders, the tail blade grips and the "washers" for the screws.
It was flown extreme 3D one time by a guy in our club (like watching Danny Szabo) and was really awesome so I know what this heli is capable of. My skill level is only to “controlled” tail-in hovering so I am getting a Trex 600 as it is more stable to learn forward flight.
I am asking $800 shipped by Fed Ex ground with a tracking number. Prefer a money order/cashiers check, but will accept paypal for 2% additional (they charge like 4% for receiving payments). Located in San Diego. Local pick up possible for $50 less. Let me know if you have any questions. Send an email to lukyspam at yahoo dot com.
