Align Head on a C5

I was doing some careful measuring and it appears that you can mount an Align 600 head on the C5. All that you need to do is shave a few millimeters off the end of the mainshaft where the head goes on so the head block bolt will line up. I'm going to give it a try with some spart parts I have. I'll post later with some pics. I want a head that I can easily get parts for and that is made of metal instead of plastic. Any parts for the C5 is a mailorder deal where I live.

great idea! Do you know if the C3 share the same size head componants as the C5?

I have a Caliber 5 head on my Caliber 3. Had to replace almost everything from the swashplate up. The Caliber 3 grips,spindle,spindle bearings,dampers,seesaw all fit though.
Caliber 30 parts fit too.
