Well I put it in. I was doing side in hover and it just got away from me. She went in on the side from about 8 feet. God that is a horrible sound. I have not even torn into it yet but, So far ir looks like Blades,(kindling), Feather shaft, fly bar, my main shft looks like the boy scouts were using it to practice their knot tieing, the part I am going to have to wait on is the main gear stripped about 8 teeth off of it. Oh well that is part of flying. Looks like I will be on the SIM for a week while I wait on parts, at least I have something to fly.

Make sure to check the servos for stripped teeth in the gears, too.

Man, did you hit that hard or maybe a little late on hitting the throtle hold switch?

I've had my share of crashes but that sounds like some major damage. I have not had to replace the main shaft yet but from what I hear its a job in itself. Also from what I hear it might be best to spend the extra money and get the gear with the bearing already in it sounds really tough to remove. Hit Sokal up, I think he just replaced his.

Will do I think I will get it anyway. The Canopy is not busted, just got some dirt on it. All of the servo arms, It even broke the skid horizontal brace.

yea but I have REALLY limited resourses I cant even buy a decent charger because we dont have prime power. We get our electicity from generator and they are 220Vdc and 50Hz sometimes. But I will get her flying again, and she will fly in Iraq again. I have all the parts I need to get her going again, except the main gear. So I will wait the 7 to 14 days it takes to get parrts and then I will start the rebuild. It really is a heart breaker.

Seesaw holder
One servo, so far
Maybe main shaft too.
Pinion gear is loose on the motor shaft, not sure what's up with that yet???
Not that bad, considering what I hit, and I did hit throttle hold just before impact.
I have all those parts on hand, should be back up in a couple days if all goes well.

Man that sucks. Im pretty sure your main shaft is bent. I look at mine wrong and it bends :bomb:.

it is because I am in Iraq, Not very many places will send anything over here. I had all the stuff on order within 1 hours so it will be here in a week I hope. Damn Sokal you are still rebuilding? How bad is it? Did you screw up the main gear? I have to pull mine so I have a feeling it is going to be bad.

I've been trying to build this 600 all night and running into snags so I need to get some fly time in and relax!

Gonna have my son use the good cam and hopefully get a good vid with the night blades.

cool i have some convertion programs that will get u better resolution for youtube
tail drive pully still gets stiff when i put even the slightest tention

replaced everything dealing with it
i guess its how its supposed to be
cant wait to see your vids

Me too. The B-400 took 4 days to get here, but a package from my wife took 1 month so who knows. I will wait and see, and I just had Jamie send a bigger batt for it and I will not even get to use it till I get completely rebuilt. That SUCKS.

I think Sokal, is so patriotic he should hope in the Chinook and bring parts to you express and personal. I would, but cant fly. I can only see my RC for about 300 feet :YeaBaby:

Thanks for the offer. I am a Civie over here I got out of the military about 10 years ago. I run heavy equipment for the U.S. army and have a blast, that might not be a good way to put that, but you get the idea. I have been over here for 4 years so far and dont plan on leaving until the wife tells me to come home or until we are finished.
