I have the 2100 with the 3100g servo, when turning left it stops briefly and then goes about 5-10 degrees further on its own. I have taken the servo apart to see if there might be binding or damaged gears but can see nothing amiss.I hear a slight buzz or squeal coming from the servo. I love the way it works other than this one issue. Can anyone tell me what the problem is or where i might purchase a 3100g a la carte?

did you do the carbon rod mod for the rudder linkage?

Digital servos buzz like that for some reason. Mine does the same thing minus it continuing to turn the heli for another 5 to 10 degrees. The metal tail linkage can definitely cause some issues due to vibration and you should really look into replacing it with a carbon fiber tube, its pretty easy to do.

I use a GY401 and a Spartan 760 both in the same location (under carriage). The GY401 works great and worked right off the bat, the 760, for all the wait has not worked out so well. The setup for spektrum tx/rx wasn't quite right in suggesting (in the manual) to bind with offset rudder stick. The most problematic thing about the 760 with my setup is that it is very twitchy and i'm assuming this is because it's so much more sensative to intereference/noise than the GY401.

I've not heard of anyone suggesting the ds760 to suffer any noise related issues.
How much gain are you running. Typically, the ds760 will perform best with less gain than most are used to with other gyros.

( PSINDRUP ) did you have any problems with the set up in the dx7?

No, none whatsoever.

Assigned the gyro gain to the gear switch (and channel), and running approx. 65% in HH mode, and it was good to go.

I still need a little fine tuning, setting up a perfect neutral hover in normal mode.
(But I am grounded, due to a broken spindle shaft, due to a flower pot that got in the way) :smokin:

I did the "teach the gyro the receiver signal" setting too (Hold the rudder stick to the left while powering up the gyro). Don't know if it made any difference, because the led's did not light up as described in the "manual" (if you can call it that)

Looks like it was loose connections. I also insulated the back side of the ESC a bit cause the gyro is right next to it. Did a maiden hover flight which went pretty well. Will be tinkering with the gyro settings, it wants to return to the original orientation

How so?

I put the 760 on my 500 and have another for the 200. Havent had time to put it in yet. anyone use the USB cable and care to share your settings?

im using a DS760 too, yes its a lot of money but it will out last the model so is totally future proof. You will need the usb lead. i dropped the deceleration to minimum to stop a bounce on the stops.

Yes, sure... :)

Below my gyro placement and my gyro settings. Hope that helps.

something to keep in mind is that i think exponential value in the usb settings is the opposite of what it is in the dx7. So a negative expo in the gyro configure means LESS sensitivity around center stick where as of course dx7 negative means more sensitivity. I couldn't get it to respond as quick as I wanted so I changed the expo to zero and now it's the way i want it but i haven't had the change to fly with it much lately. i just stare at it

Has anyone tried out this gyro by Gaui?

I'm curious about it's performance as well as it size. I couldn't really find to much specs or info on it.

Brandon.... I was not very happy with this gaui gyro, it drifted really badly, and I could not get the end points to set up accurately with the fiddly screwdriver adjustment on it. I have now fitted a CSM 420e and I'm much happier with the tail, absolutely zero drift, and the CSM sets up like a dream, just using the rudder stick on the Tx to set end points. Gain sets up at 75%
