Dear all,

I ever wanted a Multiplex Evo9/12 because I find them being very user-friendly. But it looks like Multiplex doesn't really care about 2.4GHz and I want / need to get rid of my old 35Mhz radio plus they haven't announced any 3rd party 2.4GHz upgrade modules except XPS & IFS (a route I don't want to go), so I am currently having a look to all the other main players in 2.4GHz over here in Germany. I had a FF-9 in my hands last Friday, but the FF-10 has already been announced and the price wasn't good enough to make me buy an "old" system. Unfortunately I got the information today by a German dealer that they are expecting the FF-10 to be delivered not before Q4 instead of Q1... :(

So what will be available next on the German market is the JR DSX9 what seems to be the non-US version of the X9303 if I got that right.

Any experiences & opinions with this system yet? I don't have very crucial requirements at the moment: my LMH Corona doesn't need any sophisticated mixing, my Logo 500 w/ VBar doesn't allow any mixers to be set in the radio and the SJM isn't built yet. I think my requirements are the standard ones: Simple and safe handling, enough power for some hours at the field, good finish and somehow future-proof. Just because you can't call a 680€ = 1070US$ a bargain...

Thanks for your help.

atb, Lars

Guten tag Lars - I have the DSX9 which is the Australia equivalent of the 9303 - it is beautifully made and feels nice in the hands. It has many features being 9 channel. I have to say the progrqamming is not so straightforward as the DX7 IMHO and there are a few quirks eg gyro gain only available on AUX2 (*athough I am told you can do a PROGMIX) onto another channel - I still have to figure out the programming for a governor. Unless you need the 9 channels I would recommend the DX7 and will certainly keep mine as a backup.

Hey John,

thanks for that. Meanwhile I've already ordered a DSX9 and I am waiting for it to arrive on Tuesday. It sounds there are a lot of details to look forward to. So where is the problem with the limitation of gyro gain to aux2 channel? Is this really a limitation to be called a problem?

Cheers, Lars

I think that the aux2 limitation is that you need to se a 7ch min RX. So if you use a 6ch you must do a progmix.
