I recently upgraded my Blade CX2 with the SL71 motors from BLADECX.COM. The performance was little short of spectacular. However after running a couple of batteries through the heading lock gyro in the 3 in 1 unit (eflite P/N:EFLH1023) quit working and the CX2 became hard to control in yaw. The next day my brother, who had gotten a different motor upgrade from somewhere else, experienced the same failure. Has anybody else had this problem?

I replaced the 3 in 1 and drilled cooling holes in the case. I also relocated it to below the the tray (same level as the battery) to try to get it away from the heat of the motors which , incidentally, have a heat sink installed.

I might be on same boat. I have been using Bladecx2.com parts for awhile. I'm using xtreme180 before they came out and seems like their motor is also have issue with rudder trim (all the way to left). Bladecx2 guys did say about xtreme180 have issue lately and their motor are better. I guess you have issue as well.

I had some crash but didn't think it was that bad to burn my 3-in-1. I put stock motor back and my issue is toilet bowl .. I have worked on my flybar and still have issue on toilet bowel while my rudder trim did fixed. I'm still thinking what if the ESC on 3-in-1 is bad that there is not enough rotation on upper blade that causing this issue.

I just read about this on bladecx2.com support site

"The Red Light on your 4 in 1 is a good indication that something is Wrong "

I wonder who we determine this RED light indiction at. anyone?

I took some quick video

I get RED led on 3-in-1 about 3/5 on throttle.....
