Hello all

Just to start, I'm running the Phoenix sim with the new 1.05G update and a Futaba 7C 2.4 controller and have set it up via the new 2.4 profile in the sim

I'm pretty to this equipment so forgive me for a little nobbieness but

In the instructions for the sim it talks about making sure the radio is in PPM modulation mode. If it is not set to this mode, you will not be able to use your transmitter with Phoenix.

My radio is still in the dead stock setup. I did make a few adjustments to the timer to set that up and I also activated the throttle hold but thats it.

As far as the sim it seems to run the helo correctly, So is it already in PPM modulation mode? Is this something that pertains to the older FM transmitters?

If it isn't can someone please tell me how to put the radio into PPM modulation.

Next it also talks about, you should also disable any CCPM or swashplate mixing on your transmitter prior to use with Phoenix. Phoenix does include a special CCPM demixing system to enable the use of transmitters which do not allow the CCPM to be disabled, but this is not a perfect system so you should always disable CCPM or swashplate.

I guess the same question applies to this, should I do this and how would I go about it.

I have tried reading the book about this but its rather confusing so I was hoping someone could explain it a little easer.

For the most part I seem to be running the helo fine but, one it seems kinda hard to keep it stable, especially in trying to hover. The helo kind wonders around a lot and I never seem to be able to keep it in one spot, is this because of this swashplate mixing stuff or something to do with this PPM modulation?

Also another thing I wonder about, as I said, I'm able to get the throttle hold switch thing to work for auto's as it is really a radio function but the idle up switch thing doesn't, is this normal?

I found out about this as I also have the RealFlight G4 and have used my radio with that and its great to be able to switch between normal, Idle up 1 & 2 but this apparently doesn't work for Phoenix or have just not set something up correctly?

I have tried finding a action that seems to be activated by this switch in the transmitter setup stuff but I can seem to find one.

Basically I'm running the throttle in a V curve to simulate Idle Up 2 but from using G4 I guess this isn't the way my real Helo to Radio action will actually be so is there anyway to get the Idle Up switch functioning correctly in Phoenix as it will for real?

Thanks
