Hi,

I just got most of the parts for my T-rex 500 and started going through the manual and also build videos to build it, so far so good, but when it came to the Main shaft which goes through the Washout base (# 52 page 34) and I suppose I should use the "Socket Collar Screw" and the "M2.5 Nut" to fasten it through that plastic piece (through the hole). But for some reason the screw seems to be too long for that piece, you could easily see that on both sides you have piece of the screw hanging out.
I have not put the nut on it yet (just loosely to take a photo) but if you look at the phot you’ll see what I mean, so please let me know if this the way it should be or I am doing something wrong!!

Thanks,

there a shorter bolt in the screw bag? if not you should be able to get a shorter one at your lhs.

that looks like the bolt that goes through the bottom of the main shaft assembly...

Mine was exactly same......I used it. The manual specifies 5x19mm. That is what it measures.

Can you tell me (referring to the manula and part #'s) which screw and nut did you use on yours and possibly an image of it.
I appreciate ...

Thanks,

See page 6 and look at the contents under 500HH4A. The first two items are the socket collar screw and M2.5 nut. Pleas note if you place the screw on the drawing it will match exactly.......same thing when assembling linkages. :)

Snoopy6,
You are right that is the Screw and nut to use, BUT, since everything on this heli is matched so precisely you would think that they would have put a more matching screw (as far as the length) in the bag , lets face it , it really looks ugly a chrome Nut on black screw which has about 5-6 mm longer at the end !!
Any way thanks for your input

Yes it is a little long (but should be only 3mm). On my 450 the bolt is black w/ a chrome nut also, but no extra protruding. You'll never notice it.....:)

I used the stock screw and have no clearance problems other than looking a little strange. Good luck!

Cliozeek,
So you did use the Nut and Screw (first two items) from Package "500HH4A" shown on page 6 in the manual ?

thanks,
