Just curious as to why the JR forum seems so dead. I'm almost definitely going to be picking up the new Vibe 50 shortly (take a little longer to get all the gear together, but should be flying within a month or two of purchase) and what to make sure it's not a bad idea. I was under the impression that the JR birds were of very high quality...is that why this forum is dead? Nobody has problems to talk about?

I'm sure it will pick up as soon as the Vibe 50 hits the states. What I don't get is none of the online stores has it listed yet with the exception of Redi Heli but they don't have a price for it yet.

Yeah I don't understand it either. ReadyHeli and Obviously Horizon seem to be the only major dealers carrying parts (at least thus far). The vibe is looking to be a really solid machine at barely more than the ever popular 600N. I think if JR gets their ass in gear and gets the parts readily available it'll be great competition. I understand that's the big downfall of the Vibe 90. Amazing flying/parts quality but impossible to find parts that are rather expensive. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake twice. I'm pretty pumped about this machine and would hate to have to shelf it for long periods of time after every crash.

Appears that there is only one source for the JR gas heli parts ... they don't seem to be answering my emails ... technology or human problem ???

More than likely a human problem. This is part of why their kits aren't as popular as they should be. Nobody wants a bird they can't get parts for, no matter how good it is

I'll be the first to admit that I won't buy one until I see stores are stocking parts for it on a consistent basis. I'll probably get one someday but for now my next heli is going to be the new MA Bandit 50.

Where can I find more info on that bandit? I wasn't aware they were even building a nitro version of it...I had only seen the electric. I see they have an "Introducing Bandit 50" on their homepage but can't seem to find any info on it. What are some on-line dealers that have parts?
I'd like to get a comparo on kit/parts pricing and availability. They both look rather enticing.

I plan on keeping a stock of common "crash" parts on hand so if I slam it I can hopefully minimize the down time. I'm hoping that Readyheli will also carry parts, if not that I guess it'll be HH that I'll have to get parts from.
So far all the guys in the UK are really diggin their Vibe50s, I hope to have mine soon. I still havent decided what engine/muffler to go with.

Unfortunately, the Japanese manufactuers (excuse the spelling) JR and Hirobo are tied up with stupid exclusive import contracts with Horizon and MRC.

Both companies have great products, but can't put a dent in the U.S. market due to their contracts. Look at Thunder Tiger and Align. You can get their products anywhere.

Since I live here in Japan, it's no problem to get parts for my helis, but I can't get a Vibe 90 or 50. Why?
Because they are made for the U.S. market. And one again, due to that stupid contract with Horizon they can't sell them here....

Go figure!!!!!

Me too. I guess if I want one, I'd better order one from Europe.
