View Full Version : Logo 500 Motor Mount ?
My 500 3D came with a plastic motor mount, not the Alum. I remember reading about some problems but can't remember what the problem was. Has anyone experienced problems with the plastic version? At $65, I would just as soon not replace it if I don't absolutely need to.

I believe the plastic mounts were flexing under hard loads and stripping gears. Not sure if it's an issue if you aren't doing hard 3D but it's peace of mind to have the metal one. I would contact the distributor Aero-Model and see if they can do anything for you as far as either giving you the metal mount or at least giving a discount.

The early 500 3d kits only came with the plastic motor mount. After a while, they started adding the metal motor mount to the kits. But if you had one of the early kits, all you had to do was call Aeromodel, and they sent out a metal motor mount free, including free shipping.
This happened to me and it was no problems at all, the service was excellent. So give them a call and you'll have it in a few days.

all kit should be coming with a upgraded metal mount. if its missing call ur dealer and let them know, it should be free.
