I'm looking (have searched some) for a place that has clear descriptions of the differences in the TT Raptor models, i.e. V1, V2, SE, and Titan. I have found one for the V1 and V2 but I can't find anything with a direct comparison. I'm looking at a Raptor SE, can I get this without an engine? Thanks.

The V1 and V2 are discontinued. There may be some V2's floating around and if the price is right they are a good buy.
The SE is a blinged up V2 with different stickers, some metal parts like the head and some other upgrades. Its 100 percent parts compatible with the V2.
The Titan is the other current model. Its got a longer boom and belt, some nicer linkage rods, and some other refinements. I'd personally get a Titan and a metal head block when yours wears out.

I agree with Andy but, what will you be using to transport it from your home and too the field? My last car (Nissan Altima) a 50 would fit just fine in the trunk but I don't know if a titan would (I don't know how much longer the boom on a titan is). just something to consider.

Why a Titan? Just curious as the SE comes with some good metal parts already. Just trying to weigh out everything before I order the kit. ;)
Thanks for everyone's input!

Because it gives you the flexability to run 620 blades.
Its up to you, they are basicially the same helicopter.
http://www.acehobby.com has the descriptions of both. Here's a review of the Titan http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=836

Hey Cuda,
Just a quick question. I'm fairly new to helis, what is the advantage of running the bigger blades?

More stable and auto better, they also have more bite.
Different blades (even of the same size) feel different in the air so its a matter of finding the blades that suit your flying style. For a beginner spend your money on fuel and use wood or cheap carbon blades. When you start doing more advanced aerobatics is the time to start worrying about different blades.
