iv been playing about with the dx7 satelite location, with all the bad weather.. so anyway iv put in on the back of the 9257 tail servo, & moved my spartan gyro to the receiver tray, & put the main receiver on the bottom plate, sticking out the back.. & im not sure if the satelite location is suitable, & the gyro.. i didn't like it on the top of the heli, so iv moved it down to the receiver tray. id like some help on wether this is a good place to put them,my thanks as always here is the pic's
Your gyro is not going the like it on that tray because the tray is to thin and flixes to much. There is a up grade tray made by Rick that works well. Ready Heli has them. I put the satalite on the side oppisite the ele. servo on the frame with the antennas running parallel the the bottom plate and sticking just below the plate.

iv seen the upgrade tray just none here in the uk, & the gyro i thought the same as you, i just dont want it on the top of the boom, so i thought id try the tray il see how it flys first & if its no good, il have to put it back on top of the boom until i can get a proper tray that doesn't flex thanks again

jackp1,
Why are your main gears black?

after reading people's post's about brown outs, i decided to buy a can of graphite & iv never actually used it before, i had the heli in one hand, with the graphite spray in the other so i sprayed the main gear not knowing what was in the can i thought it would be clear for some reason. i ended up in a right state, luckily enough the spray is easy to wipe of, so the heli & i was covered in a dark grey mess & i left the main gear it looks ugly as hell but if it stops my heli falling out the sky then so be it, i also sprayed the belt..so my next spray will be outside...

I've got my 401 on that same tray and I've had no problems yet. The tray flexes up and down very slightly but not side to side. I wouldn't mount it there if the latter were the case.

yeah after reading my post replies, iv put the gyro back on top, & turned the receiver tray upside down, then mounted my reveiver upside down, it looks pritty cool & the step down regulator is stuck to the top of the tray. the wire's are nice & tidy hopefully i wont get a boom strike, & trash my new spartan gyro..il up some pics tomorow
