Man you guys are sensitive. Do you own shares in the company.I can build and fly just fine thanks. Thats what I like to do.I certainly didn't mean to piss in your cornflakes. I have set up and flown over a dozen helis for my self and others. I purchased the belt to use as a cheep beater that I could fly in my yard as I dont always have time to get to the field. It turned out to be not so cheep as the servos gyro etc. that came with the kit were unusable. Sure it can be made to fly but is this the best choice for a beginner . I guess we will have to agree to disagree.:dontknow

Belt CP Stock with 67 dollar Trex Head... (Still under 300 bucks shipped)
k1XVAE6ETqY
Belt CP Electronics plus 99 Dollar Exi Trex Kit (Still under 300 dollars and you have 2 heli's)

Right out of the box..... stock stock stock.....In the hands of someone that knows what they are doing.

The selling point is the price and its attractive to anyone starting out in Helicopters, not everyone wants
to fork over hundreds of dollars to Align becuase of their name only to find out they cant hack it with heli's.
I started out with the Belt and it has thought me alot, more so than if i had started out with a "Quality Heli" whatever the hell that is, if you cant set up a heli even the "Quality Heli" will fly and crash like shit.

Yep flies just like mine. Why did you change the head if the stock one that is included flies fine. Now its not such a good deal.Im pretty sure I never mentioned T rex at all. I fly Blackhawks from Heli Pro. They fly right from the box no mods required for about $400. The parts are cheeper and they come with a rigid glass frame no mods no tinkering. Metal head included, wow this is looking better & better,LOL.. You asked!
Now I'm off to fly & yes my belt will be coming out to play too:YeaBaby: Happy tinkering.

If I can only afford a used Chevy Malibu, and I ask for help installing new brake pads, telling me to buy a Corvette isn't gonna get brakes in my Malibu.

To change the brakes in your malibu I would need to know if its a stock malibu or have you customized it :YeaBaby:

I have used both the G007 and the G011 with great results on my belt and blackhawks. They have remote gain and hold really well once you have a tight mechanical set up.Bp sells the WKG011 for $49.95 I think the 007 is discontinued.

Mike, i've read some very good reviews of the Logictech 2100T HH gyro. Some people are saying it is as good as the GY401 at a fraction of the cost.

There is nothing wrong with the plastic head.. i flew mine for many o batteries on it, i just dont like to have to buy plastic over if i ever crash so i changed it to the next best thing which i thought would be the esky cnc purple head, turned out that was too crappy and i found that even worse than the plastic so i went with the cnc trex head for 70 bucks... Still its way under 400 dollars. And who said Belts dont fly out of the box??? of the many i have bought for me (i myself have 3!) one for my bro and bought 6 others for other guys around me and every single one flew right out of the box with no problems.
Yes the servo's are cheap and they work just fine until you crash and that goes for any plastic geared servo, they all break...
A couple of guys have Blackhawk EP's here... they are the same setup as Walkera and made by Exceed (with a nice sticker saying helipro) there again is another setup just like Esky where the flybar cage is 2 seperate pieces making it less than accurate to get both sides exactly the same, only difference is on Esky the flybar is over the main blades while yours is under.
Other than that it has good servo placement but generally all the same crap in the head. I've had a Raptor G2 from Exceed which is essencially the exact same thing, just very sluggish in its flight.
Its a good heli becuase of the frame layout (which still needs links to the swash) which i hate, so overall its really no different than the belt cp with a nice frame.
For that price you can buy a Belt CP and the Exi 450 kit and be miles better, with better frame, better servo layout, better support, more compatability and the list goes on and on. and also be an actual 450 size heli.

No I don't have any experience with that particular brand. But SMM technology seems to be the way to go. Thats the same stuff thats in the 401 and mine works perfectly.

Remember I do own both helis?? Apples and oranges you know? My belt flies fine but not with the stock rigging, Servos didnt even make it off the bench. I was flying it today with my set up and quality rigging I got it into a hover put the tranny on the ground and went for a piss how about that for good. when I came back my four year old son was doing 50 foot autos with it . So yes okay it does fly pretty good.

*LOL*
So can we just agree that $200 buys you a $200 helicopter, and investing more can make it better?
The LTG-2100T looks pretty good - I spent weeks reading every thread I could find and really didn't find much to decide between that and the GY401. I only went with the Futaba because I found one at a really good price. I guess the next one's going to be the Logictech just to see for myself if there's any noticeable difference.

I fly with the LTG-2100T and find it a very good gyro the manual could be a little better but there is enough support on every forum for most tx's and easy to setup
