I haven't put my govenor in yet. With a linear curve the headspeed seems high.

Throttle curves are specific to each individual setup. My curves will mostlikely not work for your setup. And yours won't work on mine.

mine are 0 35 50.5 60 80. This is a baseline you can start with, it produces a pretty low head speed for me "don't have a TACH". I only run In ID up using my GOV which is set up for 1800 N and 2000 ID up. Just have the Curve for a Back up. Try it and adjust to your Liking, If you don't have a Tach Use your ears.

I take it you break in engine with the governor off? I also need a baseline throttle curve for the first 5 tanks can I just use 0 25 50 75 100 for this pitch curve?
-3 -1.5 0 +5 +10

ghayes You don't have to run a linear curve. Lower your throttle curve slightly and try again.

Burt Yes, break in the engine before putting a governor on.

Did you mean your pitch curve is -3 low, +5,mid, +10 high. If so, that throttle curve is as good as any to start with.

If your pitch curve is -3 low, 0 mid, +10 high, then I'd alter your throttle curve to 0, 25, 40, 70, 100 as a starting point. 50% throttle at 0 pitch will give you a high headspeed.
