Starting my list of goodies for my 600N and wanted to know if there is significant difference between the 401/9254 or the 601.What do you suggest I purchase in terms of gyro and servo? also what type of servo should I use for the rest of heli? Spectrum and 7000.

401 vs 611 The answer is yes and no and it depends on your flying ability and how much money you want to spend. The 401 "holds" about as well but if you are doing stuff with a lot of piro'ing then the 401 slows down fighting wind then whips around, the 611 is very smooth and predictable no matter what the wind condition. So yes its worth the extra money.
As for servos 9252, 9452 better, BLS451 and 8717 best, pick your price range. 9252's are pretty darn good though.
I'm also using a multigov and a flight power 2200 mah rx lipo and an align 2-1 though if they had been out I'd have probably gotten another flight power 5a linear regulator like I just got for my Vibe50

Two other gyros to consider are the JR G770 (with DS8900G tail servo) and the SpartanRC DS760 (which should also work with the DS8900G tail servo). The DS760 seems to be the gyro of choice for the advanced pilots that have tried it. The G770 is closer in cost to the 401 and supposedly has better piro characteristics than the 401 and is on a par with the 611 (I'm not advanced enough to substantiate the claims).

piro rate and holding power are the only limitations of the 401. i've seen some guys really toss around a heli with a 401/9254 combo. but, they say they really have to watch the tail on the backward bits or it will blow out.
same moves with a 611 are a no brainer. it just sticks. if you're not doing high-g backward flying or piro moves the 401 will be fine.
