Update: If you are using the aluminum cross ties in the boom block, which I recommend to help reduce ESD, here is a way to take advantage them when putting in the copper foil.

Are these the aluminum cross ties you are referring to?

yep, Thats them. You need to come up with 4 2.5mm screws, they don't come with them.

I found this at a Michael's craft store.
They have copper, brass and silver, sheets and tape.
The brass was 4.59 but the copper was 6.99.
I reasoned the copper would be more malleable on compound curves

Hi Michael,

I tried calling 3 different Michael's stores today in the Seattle area and none could find this tape in stock...

I will probably have to go searching in person for the tape. What section of the store was the tape in in the store you visited?

Thanks,
Allen

I'm pretty sure it was in the fine arts section. It was one isle over from artists brushes and airbrush stuff and canvases, etc
I can't find it listed on their site at all, it might be regional or old stock, but I walked right in and found it 'cause I knew they carried sheets of foil.
Hope this helps

wtf
If you replace the plastic main bearing holders with the metal counterparts, the metal ones come with screws. You can then take the cross ties and the screws from the plastic main bearing holders and use them here.

I do have the metal main bearing kit so I will use the leftover hardware... :noteworthy

Now if I could only find some metal foil tape locally without having to wait for delivery

Thanks,
Allen
