Hi There,

Based on the positive views on this site I have recently purchased a BC-6 and it is fantastic. No problems charging the LiPo etc, but I’m a little confused how to charge a Sealed Lead Acid cell, more specifically how do you know when the charge is complete..?

Here’s what I have done to date:

12v 7Ah cell connected up and set the charge rate at 0.3Amps – The charger is snow howing an output voltage of 14.7V and it has reduced the current to 0.1Amps – Is the cell charged.? The BC-6 does seem to turn itself off and just keeps running at this rate.

Thx,

L.

At that point the lead acid battery is charged, but the charger will terminate the charge itself. There are 2 other settings in the user Setup that can also terminate the charger, Safety Timer and Capacity cut off. If either one of these are reached prior to the charger finishing the charge, the charger will terminate and display the appropriate message.
