Hi Guys/Girls,
I survived a auto today due to a defective Deans connector:arggg: What does everybody use as battery connectors. I found the Deans Ultra is not what it claims to be, with intermittent connections due to distortion when you solder it. for smaller wires it works as you don't need so much heat, but for the bigger batteries and ESC one needs more heat for longer and this distorts the plastic holder.

i use the Deans.... did you watch finless video yet on how to solder them? i recked 1 set on my first try, but after that all them fine... total of 8 connectors this far without any problems...

I use Deans on my 600 size helis and eflite EC3 on my Mini-Titan.
Deans are a little tricky sometimes. Gotta get the heat just right. After you've done a few of them it's easy.

deans all the way, even the fake ones .. its all about how you solder em, you have to tin the plug and the wire and then just join the two ....

Beeing a newbie i´ve done one set of deans. Mainly because everyone seems to use them however at one point i intend to try out bullets too, they somehow seem easier and safer to me since +/- is separated physically.
Are there any other alternatives to soldered connections? I remember reading an article stressing the fact that soldering wires made them more prone to stressfracture over time. Any opinions on this?

Anderson Power Poles are a good alternative to Deans connectors. I have never used the Power Poles though as I started electric with Deans and to keep things simple just put the Deans on new stuff. The Power Poles do look good though and are a crimp type fitting.

Hy guys,
I only used PK 4 mm for all my electric hely and planes. Good contact and realy no problem to sold on the wires. Here is a pic of an example of instalation.
Have good flyes and greats from Belgium
